Subscriptions renew automatically and fees are not refunded. Both of those are stated at the top of this page rather than at the bottom, because a renewal term a customer did not see is one that a Californian court will treat as never agreed.
Cancelling takes one click, at any time, with no retention gauntlet. The free tier is permanent and runs the real product, so nobody has to pay in order to find out what they are buying.
01The terms, up front
California law requires the renewal terms of a subscription to be presented clearly and conspicuously before you consent to them. So they are here, first, before anything else in this document.
| Term | What it means |
|---|---|
| What you get | An ORIN Pro subscription: up to 500 chart analyses a day, setup grading, trade plans, position sizing, every asset class and the full rulebook library. |
| Free trial | 3 days of the complete paid product from the moment you subscribe. Your card is authorised but not charged during the trial. |
| Price | $19.99 per week. That is the amount charged — no tax is added at checkout. |
| Billing frequency | Weekly, charged in advance on the same day each week. The first charge falls at the end of the free trial. |
| Automatic renewal | Yes. Your subscription renews automatically for successive weekly terms and your payment method is charged each term until you cancel. |
| Minimum term | None. You may cancel at any time, including during the trial. |
| How to cancel | One click in Settings → Subscription, at any time, without contacting us and without being asked why. |
| If you cancel | Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep full access until then. Your account then reverts to the free plan and nothing is deleted — your analyses, journal and settings remain, and export keeps working. |
| Refunds | None. Fees already charged are not refunded or pro-rated, subject to the statutory rights and the three exceptions set out below. |
| Price changes | At least 30 days’ notice by email, effective at your next renewal. If you do not accept a change, cancel before that date. |
By subscribing you give affirmative consent to these automatic renewal terms specifically, not merely to the Terms of Service generally — the subscription screen states what subscribing does and links these terms directly, and pressing that button is the act of agreeing to them.
What you receive by email. Stripe, our payment processor, emails you a receipt for every charge and a notice if a payment fails. Those come from Stripe rather than from us. The date of the first charge is shown on the subscription screen before you enter a card, and it is repeated in clause 2. This page is the durable record of the renewal terms themselves and of how to cancel; it is versioned and dated at the top, and we do not change it retroactively. If you want the terms in a form you can keep, this page prints.
02The 3-day trial, and what happens at the end of it
A subscription starts with 3 days of the complete paid product. Not a limited version, not a demo: the same engine, the same live market data, the same rulebooks, on your own instruments, with every displayed dial shown. Your card is authorised when you subscribe and not charged during those days.
At the end of the trial your card is charged $19.99 and the subscription renews weekly until you cancel. This is a trial that converts into a charge, and we would rather say so in bold than have you discover it on a statement.
Three things make that fair rather than merely disclosed, and we hold ourselves to all of them:
- You are told the date. The exact first-charge date is shown on the subscription screen before you enter a card, not calculated from a duration you have to remember.
- The date is visible for the whole trial. Settings → Subscription shows the trial end and the first-charge date for as long as the trial is running, so it is never something you have to have remembered from one email.
- Cancelling during the trial costs nothing. One click, at any hour, and no charge is ever made. You are not asked why.
If you cancel — during the trial or later — your account drops to the free plan. It is not closed and nothing is deleted. Your analyses, journal, watchlists and settings remain, export keeps working, and the free plan continues to run the same engine on the same live data with a daily analysis allowance. Two displayed diagnostics — the calibrated confidence and confluence scores on the verdict — are part of the paid plans; the analysis beneath them is computed identically. Subscribing again picks up where you left off.
This clause is also the reason the refund policy in clause 4 can be as firm as it is. You get the entire product, on your own charts, before any money moves — so nothing about the paid plan is a surprise that could only be discovered after paying.
3 days of the full thing, free. We tell you the exact date of the first charge before you enter a card, and it is on your subscription screen the whole time. Nobody emails you a reminder — Stripe only sends those for longer trials, and we would rather say so than imply one is coming. Cancel any time in one click: during the trial you pay nothing, and afterwards you keep your data on the free plan.
This summary is for readability. The numbered clause above it is what binds.
03Charges, taxes and failed payments
Payment processing. Payments are processed by Stripe. We never receive, store or have access to your full card number. Stripe’s handling of your payment data is governed by its own terms and privacy policy; what we receive is a customer reference, the last four digits, the card brand and the expiry.
Currency. Prices are in US dollars. Your bank may apply a conversion rate and a foreign transaction fee, which are between you and your bank.
Taxes. The price shown is the price charged. We do not currently add sales tax, VAT, GST or any similar tax at checkout, and no amount is collected from you for one. If that changes — because we become registered to collect in your jurisdiction — the tax will be shown and added at checkout before you are charged, and this policy will say so with a new effective date. Any tax you personally owe on your own use of the service remains yours to account for.
Failed payments. If a charge fails we will retry over several days and email you. If it continues to fail, your subscription is suspended and your plan reverts to the free tier. Your data is not deleted and your records remain intact; you regain paid access as soon as a payment succeeds.
Chargebacks. If you dispute a charge with your bank rather than contacting us, we may suspend the account pending resolution. We would much rather you emailed billing@tryorin.xyz — a chargeback costs us a fee and costs you your account for the duration, and in most cases the underlying issue is something we can simply fix.
04No refunds
All fees are non-refundable. We do not refund, credit or pro-rate partial billing periods, unused analysis allowance, periods in which you did not log in, plan downgrades, or accounts suspended or terminated for breach of the Terms of Service.
Cancelling stops the next charge. It does not reverse the current one, and you keep full access until the period you have paid for ends. We do not shorten it as a penalty for cancelling.
Deleting your account cancels the subscription at the end of the period you have paid for, on exactly the same terms — the deletion itself is immediate and irreversible, and the billing relationship simply stops renewing. We do not keep charging a deleted account, and we do not refund the current period, because the two would otherwise be the only ways to get this wrong.
There are exactly three exceptions, and they are not discretionary:
- A billing error by us. If we charge the wrong amount, charge twice, or charge after a valid cancellation, we refund it in full without argument. Tell us at billing@tryorin.xyz.
- We stop providing the Service. If we discontinue the Service, or terminate your subscription for any reason other than your breach, we refund the unused portion of any prepaid fee on a pro-rata basis.
- A statutory right that cannot be waived. Described in clause 5 below.
We are aware this is stricter than most. It is stated plainly rather than buried, the 3-day trial means nobody has to buy in order to find out, the free plan runs the same engine for as long as you want before you decide, and cancelling takes one click at any hour without speaking to anyone. Those four things are what make a firm policy fair rather than merely firm.
05EU and UK consumers: the 14-day withdrawal right
If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, the EEA or the United Kingdom, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days without giving a reason and without penalty. That right exists independently of anything in clause 4 and we do not attempt to exclude it.
How it interacts with immediate access. ORIN is digital content supplied immediately on purchase. Under Article 16(m) of the Consumer Rights Directive — and regulation 37 of the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations — the withdrawal right is lost for such content only where you have expressly consented to supply beginning before the withdrawal period expires and acknowledged that you thereby lose the right.
We do not currently ask you to waive it. Our checkout does not present a waiver of the withdrawal right, and we do not treat subscribing as consent to lose it. Because the condition in Article 16(m) is therefore never satisfied, the 14-day right survives in full for every EU, EEA and UK consumer, whatever else this policy says.
To withdraw, send any clear statement to billing@tryorin.xyz within 14 days of the contract being concluded, and we will refund all payments received within 14 days of being informed, using the same payment method.
Nothing else is affected. Your statutory rights in respect of services that are not as described, not supplied with reasonable care and skill, or not fit for a purpose you made known to us, are unaffected by any part of this document.
In Europe and the UK you get 14 days to change your mind — unless you choose immediate access at checkout, which trades that right for the product working straight away. We will always ask you to choose rather than deciding for you.
This summary is for readability. The numbered clause above it is what binds.
06How to cancel
Settings → Subscription → Manage subscription → Cancel. The manage button opens Stripe's billing portal, where cancelling is one click. It is available whenever the Service is, it does not route you through a retention offer, it does not require you to email anyone, phone anyone, or explain yourself, and no further charge is made once it is done.
Stripe shows the cancellation on screen and records it against your subscription, and the Subscription screen in ORIN then shows the date your access ends. Cancelling during the trial means no charge is ever made at all. If the screen does not reflect a cancellation you believe you made, contact billing@tryorin.xyz and we will treat it as effective from the date you first attempted it.
If for any reason the in-app control is unavailable, an email to billing@tryorin.xyz saying you wish to cancel is sufficient and effective on receipt. We will not require any other step.
Your data after cancelling. Cancelling does not delete anything. Your account reverts to the free plan with its daily allowance, and your analyses, journal, watchlists and settings remain. You can export everything at any time from Settings, and delete the account outright if you want to. You are not asked to go through onboarding again if you come back.
07Changes to prices and to this policy
We may change subscription prices or this policy. Any change to price, to renewal terms, or to the refund position takes effect only at your next renewal and only after at least 30 days’ notice sent by email to the address on your account.
That notice will state the current price, the new price, the date it takes effect, and how to cancel before it does. If you cancel before the effective date you are never charged the new amount. Continuing past it is acceptance.
We do not change the price of a period you have already paid for, and we do not apply a change retroactively.
