Getting started
First read, first account, first decision logged.
Go to the Analyze screen, type a symbol and press Enter. Crypto works signed out with no account at all. Stocks, ETFs and forex run on our own market data, which is metered, so those need a free account — no key and no card.
⌘K opens the command palette, ⌘U focuses the symbol field, Q opens Quick Read, and T, P and W log take, pass and watch respectively.
No. ORIN is analysis software. It produces a technical read, a directional bias and a scenario plan. It does not issue instructions to buy or sell, does not place orders, and cannot see your circumstances.
Running an analysis
Symbols, screenshots, timeframes and what the output means.
The confluence score is a weighted read of nine factors — setup quality, trend alignment, multi-timeframe agreement, reward:risk, entry location, volume confirmation, momentum, structural confirmation and volatility regime — across three fetched timeframes, expressed 0–100. The letter is a band of that score: 90+ is A+, 80–89 A, 70–79 B, 60–69 C, 50–59 D, below 50 F.
Yes, in two modes on the Upload page. A measured read takes only the ticker and timeframe off your image and grades that market's real candles. The Upload beta lets a model read the picture itself and give its own levels — inferred, never graded, and never counted in any published figure.
Most plans enter at the price the chart was analyzed at. In a small set of measured cells — particular combinations of pattern, market and timeframe — the entry is a resting limit at the edge of the pattern’s zone instead. A limit that never fills is recorded as exactly that: no trade, no loss.
Risk & rule packs
Sizing, daily limits and grading against a rulebook.
ORIN divides your dollar risk (account × risk %) by the per-unit risk (distance from entry to stop, times the contract size). Size is the output of that division — it is never an input.
Settings → Risk defaults → Max daily loss (%). The Risk view then shows a budget bar tracking realised losses against that cap, with the remaining headroom expressed in losses rather than percentages.
Open Library → Guru Packs and choose a pack, or use the lens switcher on the Analyze screen. Applying a pack replaces your grading lens: hard rules cap the grade when broken, and confluences reweight it.
Data & accounts
Where market data comes from, storage, export and deletion.
Two sources. Crypto comes from public exchange endpoints that cost nothing, so it works signed out. Stocks, ETFs, forex and metals come from a paid data provider ORIN pays for, and that allowance is shared by every user — which is why those markets need a free account.
Journal → Export downloads everything as JSON. Settings → Danger zone erases all local data permanently. Both act on data stored in this browser.
Troubleshooting
When a symbol will not resolve or a read looks wrong.
Check three things in order: whether you are signed in, whether the symbol uses a different convention (GOLD vs XAU/USD), and whether the instrument is inside covered universe.
Open the thesis panel and hover each claim — every line points at a specific annotation on the chart. If a claim is not supported by what it points at, that is a real disagreement worth recording.
