Insider room rules and moderation

Posting requires accepting a short set of always-visible rules, stamped server-side — including a disclosure that ORIN is an AI system rather than a person, and that nothing in the room is financial advice. Trust levels then unlock attachments and links as a member establishes a history.

The consent gate

The rules are shown where the composer would be, so they are readable before anyone decides whether to accept them — rather than behind a link nobody opens.

Acceptance is timestamped and versioned server-side, and the insert path refuses a post without it. A rule set that could be bypassed by the client would not be a rule set.

  • ORIN is an AI system, not a person — disclosed rather than left to be inferred.
  • Nothing in the room is financial advice.
  • Unverified performance figures render demoted rather than as claims.
  • Never send money to anyone here.
  • Other members see your name and your posts — never your journal or your account.

Trust levels

Attaching a graded read unlocks after a short period in the room plus a handful of messages. Posting links unlocks later, after a longer period and considerably more participation.

The staging is aimed at the specific failure these rooms have: an account that arrives, posts a link, and leaves. Time plus participation is cheap for a member and expensive for that pattern.

Structural limits

Threads are one level deep, so a conversation cannot fork into an unreadable tree. Per-minute and per-day ceilings bound volume. Solicitation patterns and imperative calls on other people's money are blocked outright.

Every rule that fires says which rule fired. A moderation system that refuses without explaining teaches nobody anything and reads as arbitrary.

Reports and stewards

Two independent reports hold a post for steward review automatically. Every steward action — remove, restore, clear, mute, unmute — is logged, and an action can be appealed once.

Logging every action matters more in a small room than a large one, because in a small room the moderator is plausibly an interested party.

Frequently asked

Why was my post held before a moderator even saw it?
Two independent reports hold a post for steward review automatically. Every steward action is logged and each one can be appealed once, so an automatic hold is a pause for review rather than a verdict.
When can I attach a graded read in the Insider room?
At the first trust level, which needs a short period in the room plus a few messages. Link posting unlocks later. The staging targets the drive-by link-drop pattern, which time and participation make expensive.
