Can ORIN analyse a chart screenshot?

Short answer

Not yet. Uploading an image tells you so rather than returning a read. Reading candles and the price axis off a picture is the one part of the pipeline still being built, and guessing a level from an image is the exact failure ORIN is designed around. Type the symbol instead.

Steps

  1. 1
    Find the ticker
Read the symbol off the chart you were sent — the top-left corner on almost every platform. That is the only thing ORIN needs from the image.
  2. 2
    Type it into Analyze
Enter the ticker and pick the timeframe the chart was on. ORIN pulls its own candles for that symbol, so the read is built from data rather than from pixels.
  3. 3
    Compare the two
Put the image beside the read. Levels that appear in both are structure; levels that appear only in the markup were somebody's opinion.

Worth knowing

  • For any symbol ORIN covers, scanning by ticker is strictly better than a screenshot of the same chart — the data is exact rather than measured off a picture.
  • If the chart is on an instrument ORIN does not cover, there is no honest answer available today. That is the gap the vision layer closes.
